Your solar system isn’t just a fair-weather friend. It still generates power on cloudy days, and any excess energy can be stored or sourced from the grid when needed. You’ve got a reliable energy buddy in all kinds of weather!
The process is personalized, and although the panel installation takes one day, due to city approval times, the entire process can take from four to six weeks.
Unused solar power is then fed back into the grid. For feeding solar power back into the grid, you receive a credit on your electric bill called the feed-in tariff (FiT). Your electricity bill then takes into account the electricity you draw from the grid, as well as credits for the energy generated by your solar power system that you don’t use.
With solar power, you don’t need to turn the system on in the morning or off in the evening – the system does this automatically. You also don’t have to switch between solar power and grid power, as your solar system can determine when it’s best to do so based on the amount of energy used in your home.
A solar system requires very little maintenance (since there are no moving parts), which means you’ll hardly notice it’s there. It also means that a high quality solar power system will last a long time.
